About us...

We are a regenerative tourism lodge in 7 acres of natural gardens and woodland, rich in birds, butterflies, mammals, and the occasional leopard! We sit at the gateway to the Himalaya, having a magnificent panorama of three 8,000m peaks before our terrace.

Our aim is to give every guest a special experience of Nepal though local guides and authentic Nepali food. 16 rooms in stone bungalows in local style, we are the ideal base for guests who want a rural locale, yet access to Pokhara for its lakeside and adventure sports. We have exciting walks from an hour to full day hikes, all led by expert guides, for those who enjoy hiking but do not wish to trek in the classical way. Walks focus on flora, fauna and culture. A range of yoga, meditation and massage therapies are available

Operating more like a private home, our friendly, discreet staff have been with the lodge since its opening in 1998 by Sir Edmund Hillary and are adept in making every guest feel personally welcome and relaxed.

OUR FOCUS:

Activities / Experiences, Accommodations, Trip Planning, Itineraries, Products, Services, Culinary

ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY

We have policies in place to manage our sustainability and environmental impact.

We manage the environment carefully within the lodge grounds and work closely with the local community forest committee sharing advice and expertise. We have waste management, local purchasing and a range of other sustainability / regenerative tourism policies and a dedicated employee responsible for monitoring and development. As staff action group RAAG (regenerative tourism advisory and action group) meet regularly to develop ideas and monitor progress,

SOCIAL IMPACT

We take steps to have a positive impact on our community.

With a strong Community Support Partnership, we work closely to help the local village’s development vision. We are independently audited for our regenerative tourism practice by WTTC Travelife with Gold Standard in all audits since 2017. Guests are welcome to share in our partnership.
